Things To Do

The work was created by working with children and play workers at the Charlie Chaplin Adventure Playground, devising slogans based on playful actions and thoughts to have whilst passing a nearby 100 metre long hoarding.

Supported by Lee Gentry, the hoarding attracted much attention whilst as it was being painted, with numerous, and varied comments being made by passers-by.

Initially there were concerns that the work would be graffitied, but this did not occur, perhaps because myself and Lee in conversations with passers-by stressed the connection between the work and the playground used by many local children and young people. This project wall ran parallel to exhibition Nothing Is Forever held at the South London Gallery
