For the event in 2007, I made, and paraded Its A Mad, Mad World a sandwich board painted with a collection of unusual and bizarre stories gleaned from the national newspapers. Despite seeming unbelievable, none of the stories were fabricated, each was true.

By wearing these bonkers stories, viewers are forced to consider whether madness is a normal state. What is normal ? What is mad ? Probably every edition of every newspaper contains at least one bizarre news story, but seeing a collection of them certainly focuses the mind.

For the event in 2008, a sandwich board making workshop was held, inviting people at the festival to create their own sandwich board. At the conclusion of the workshop, a Grand Sandwich Board Parade was held in, and around, Camberwell Green.
